Top Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR List

It's time for Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and The Bookish!

This week's theme: Top Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR List

1. The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan: I am almost done with the Percy Jackson and The Olympian series (just one more book).  I can't wait to get to this series.  I listen to the audiobooks, and this series has a new reader which is great because I HATE the current reader.

2. This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper: I saw the preview for the movie starring Jason Bateman (who I adore) that is coming out in September and decided I wanted to read the book first.

3. Game by Barry Lyga: This is the second in the Jasper Dent series, which I kinda liked.

4. Paper Towns by John Green:  It's time for me to brave another John Green now that The Fault in Our Stars is out of my system.

5. World War Z by Max Brooks:  I am so embarrassed how often this is at the top of my TBR list.  Ugh.

6. Killing Floor by Lee Child: I have been meaning to start the Jack Reacher series and I just picked this up from the library.

7. Miles to Go by Richard Paul Evans: I just read the Walk and liked it, so I want to read the next in the series.

8. Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding:  This has been on my list for awhile and I do want to read, but I think the cover keeps bugging me so it keeps moving downward.

9. The Princess Bride by William Goldman: Again, this has been at the top of my list for too long.

10. We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver: Yet another that has been n my list way too long.

  1. I haven't read Percy Jackson or Heros of O. I'm totally dying to do so, though. It's really only a matter of time being that I LOVE Greek Mythology. I'm glad to hear that you're liking Percy Jackson, though.

I've not read anything by John Green because I'm a total weirdo and haven't read TFioS. However, I'm hoping I'll read something by him soon and I'm actually really thinking about starting with Paper Towns.

I've been in love with The Princess Bride film for as long as I can remember, so the book's been up there on my list for a while too. Hopefully, I'll get to that soon with you! I mean, I know I'm going to love it because I already love the movie, so why am I wasting time? Good question. I really don't know. :P

    Here's My Top Ten Tuesday!

    1. I have only read TFioS so far by Green and I liked it ok, but honestly, I have seen countless interviews with him lately and its John Green the person I really like. That's the main reason I want to read more of his books. He's hilarious.

And ditto on Princess Bride. I grew up on that movie!

  3. I am reading The Lost Hero right now actually! Not my favorite out of both series but it's still pretty great IMO. Paper Towns on the other hand was not exactly a favorite of mine. If you are a fan of John Green you will probably enjoy it though. Great list - good luck with all of your books!

  8. I feel like I'm on my own little island because I didn't swept up in The Fault in Our Stars like the rest of the reading universe. For whatever reason, it didn't hold my interest. I'm more than halfway done, but I stopped reading it months ago. I'll finish it eventually, I think. I'm more interested in reading his book, An Abundance of Katherines.

If you like We Need to Talk About Kevin you definitely should check out the movie. I've never read the book, but the movie was AMAZING! The actors who played younger/older Kevin were so chilling.

I've never read A Princess Bride either, but I definitely want too. May check out the audiobook because I think the story might be good that way, as I liked the voice over narrative from the movie.
